Our Aims

Aims and Objectives of the Fund

To promote awareness of the impact on the quality of life of young people of delays in the provision of wheelchairs and other equipment. To raise funds to provide wheelchairs and equipment to disabled young people primarily but not exclusively with a short life expectancy and to support charities with similar aims.

Objectives:

  • To provide funds to help purchase a wheelchair for a young person aged 18 and under, including adaption costs to help improve their quality of life.
  • To provide funds to help purchase other equipment which will help improve the quality of life of a young person aged 18 or under with a disability.
  • The Fund would consider raising funds in association with any other charity which has similar aims and objectives and which helps to improve the quality of life of a young disabled person aged 18 and under.
  • The Fund would consider raising funds in association with The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to be used for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
  • The Fund will raise funds from individuals, businesses and other organisations in the UK.
